In decorating for the holidays this year, I rediscovered a cache of aisle bows from our wedding. So I used all that burgundy wired ribbon to decorate a new garland (actually, two garlands tied together to create one long one). With tiny nails and clear fishing wire, I hung this over the archway between the living room and dining room. This is what you see when you enter the front door.
All the garlands are nicely coordinated, as they all have similar wedding ribbons. Tho' they're not too matchy, as they each have other ribbons and decorations added, plus different or no lights.

Our Christmas tree looks pretty much the same every year, I just switch around a few ornaments. I added a bunch of larger purple satin-covered ball ornaments that I'm not sure where/when I got them, but they were in the big box o' ornaments. Used only purple lights for a very purple tree.

The stockings were hung by the gargoyle with care...
