The Ceremony ~ Decor
Ceremony Site: Gold/Silver/Bronze Rooms at Capital Club in downtown San Jose.

Backdrop for the ceremony provided by Marilyn Kromrey. Table was provided by the Capital Club and held the wine glasses, unity candles, and handfasting cord

Decorations: Our florist, Marilyn Kromrey, had wood lattice screens that went in the area behind us. She decorated them with draped white tulle, tendrils of dark green ivy, deep red silk roses (that matched the Cara Mia roses in the bouquets), and beautiful draping accents of silver beads. On either side of the lattice screens, she placed faux-marble pillars topped with giant live ferns. This filled out the area nicely and totally disguised the rather ugly back wall of the room. In fact, this backdrop was a wonderful frame for us in the pictures taken at the ceremony.

In an effort to liven up the rest of the room, Trystan made bows to tie to the sides of the chairs along the center aisle. She bought a load of gorgeous burgundy wired ribbons on sale at Michaels Arts and Crafts, plus some ivory accent ribbon and a Bow-Maker to put it all together with. The Bow-Maker is an amazing little tool that enables you to make big, fluffy bows really fast -- highly recommended!
