The Reception ~ Decor
This is the text we put on the back of the table signs at the reception. On the front of each sign was the city name, and on the back was this text along with a picture we took at that city.

Amsterdam
Trystan and Thomas visited this canal city renown for Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Anne Frank, and the original Red Light District in May 1999. Pictured is the Rijksmuseum, the Netherlands' premier art museum.

Edinburgh
Thomas and Trystan experienced fine Scottish weather (i.e., lots of snow and driving wind) as they walked the Royal Mile down from Edinburgh Castle (pictured here) in January 1993.

Dorchester
This tiny South England town was the 19th century home of Trystan's favourite author, Thomas Hardy. Pictured is Hardy's birthplace cottage, which Trystan and Thomas visited in May 1999.

Dublin
Trystan and Thomas' May 1999 stay in Dublin was a challenge. But Trystan indulged her James Joyce fixation, while Thomas delved into the city's Viking past. And both were enchanted by the intricate artwork of The Book of Kells, pictured here.

Key Largo
The Florida Keys were Thomas' childhood stomping grounds, and he and Trystan traveled all through the Keys in March 1998. After spending a night in Key Largo, they went snorkeling in the Atlantic Ocean -- the picture here shows Trystan bobbing in the waves.

London
London is like an old friend -- comfortable, reliable, and still great fun to be around. Thomas and Trystan have been there together in December 1992 and May 1999. The winter mist hangs over London's Green Park in this picture of Thomas circa 1992.

Los Angeles
Thomas and Trystan have enjoyed thrill rides (such as Splash Mountain, pictured here) at the Happiest Place on Earth to trendy shopping on Melrose Avenue, all in the Los Angeles area in May 1995, November 1997, and November 1999.

Pensacola
Trystan's birthplace is also the home of the Navy's Blue Angels acrobatic flying troupe (pictured here). Thomas and Trystan visited her grandparents in Pensacola, Florida, in March 1998.

Poipu
Paradise must be a lot like Kauai. This palm-framed view of the beach was what we could see every day from the balcony of the condo when Trystan's parents took her and Thomas along for a week in Poipu on the Southern shore of Hawaii's most lushly isolated island in October 1998.

Seattle
If Trystan and Thomas had to live somewhere outside of the Bay Area, Seattle would be high on their list of potential hometowns. After all, Seattle is just Silicon Valley North, as we found out in our August 1998 visit. Pictured here is the city's famous Space Needle.

Waterford
The tour of the Waterford Crystal Factory in Waterford, Ireland, displays the company's fine craftsmanship in an attempt to sell more crystal. It worked on Trystan and Thomas in May 1999 -- they bought their wedding toasting flutes at the factory, after learning the method behind precise wedge cutting from the artisan pictured here.

Windermere
The capital of England's Lake District, Windermere was peacefully deserted when Thomas and Trystan visited in January 1993. Popular sites such as the 19th century poet William Wordsworth's home and gravesite were wrapped in mist and entirely free of crowds.
